Plaza de España, sevilla
How to get there

The Plaza de España in Seville contains one of the largest open spaces of regionalist architecture.  It was constructed for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929, held in the city.  The opening ceremony of the exhibition was held here with the presence of King Alfonso XIII.

For its size, 50,000 square meters, it is one of the most spectacular Spanish panoramas, with a mixture of Mudejar, Gothic and Renaissance styles.  The work began in 1914, finishing in 1928.

It has been the scene of some well-known films, including Lawrence of Arabia and Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones.

It lies within the Maria Luisa Park. Admission is free and the opening hours are from 9 am to 10 pm.
