How to get there

The Museum of Fine Arts of Seville is the second best gallery in the country, after the  El Prado Museum of Madrid. The building was the former convent of La Merced Calzada.

Renovations were carried out at the end of the XVI and XVII centuries by Juan de Oviedo.  It was not until 1839 that the building was used for the museum.  The compound consists of 14 rooms containing works from the Gothic period until the XX century.
