Puerta de Tierra of Cadiz

Plaza de la Constitución, Cádiz
How to get there

The Puerta de Tierra is what is left of the outside wall at entrance to the city.

The cover is carved in marble, designed more as a religious altarpiece than a military fortification.

It was placed in front of the baroque white marble statues of the patron saints San Servando and San German. The tower was built in late 1850 to operate as a tower of the telegraph line Madrid-Cadiz.
