The Cadiz Carnival of the most important carnivals of Spain, the world's best-known and fiesta of international tourist interest. Prominent among the many acts inside the carnival is the official contest of a group, with more than 100 years of history of carousels and chorus.
The origins of the Carnival of Cadiz are not very clear. The oldest documents that speak of these fiestas are las Constituciones Sinodales of 1591 and the Estatutos del Seminario de Cádiz in 1596, which contain indications that religious people did not participate in the festivals in the same way as the secular people.
